Guest Speaker: Andy Trieu

Andy TrieuAndy TrieuThree-time Australian champion martial artist Andy Trieu expanded his repertoire from competing in tournaments to performing in roles across stage and screen.

Andy is currently a co-host on SBS PopAsia, the Asian pop music and culture network on TV, radio, and online. He is also a series regular on “Kitchen Whiz”, screened on Channel 9 and around the world. Andy appeared in Australia’s first kung-fu series “Maximum Choppage” as Fury (ABC & Matchbox Pictures).

On the hit Chinese show “If You Are The One” on SBS Andy has been a co-host. In the feature film world he has appeared in UNindian starring Brett Lee. Andy was a runner-up for the national search for hosts on ABC3 and participated in the Cleo Bachelor Top 50 as a finalist.

Andy is an ambassador for the charity organisation All Together Now and an advocate for the Stroke Foundation. Outside of entertainment he holds a double degree in International Relations and Business (Australian National University) and was a former science communicator.

Andy has also worked as a stunt performer on productions such as Hacksaw Ridge, Wolverine, and Tomorrow, When the War Began. He is currently working on the Channel 10 series “Street Smart” from the creators of “Here Come the Habibs!”.
