Lesley has 25 years of experience working with actors in roles including director, producer, artistic director, festival director, and teacher. She founded the Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT, now AFTT) in 1992 and led it till 2013.

Lesley is active in the independent theatre scene in Sydney and is currently the Vice-Chair of Newtown Entertainment Precinct Association (NEPA) and the Sydney Fringe Festival.

She recently completed a Master of Arts (Research) at UTS. She investigated whether neuroscience and other fields could support her long-held belief that deep acting processes hold value for anyone wishing to access greater creativity.

As a business owner, educator, and leader in her field Lesley has been at the forefront of the implementation of theatre-based learning. A key approach has been the use of role-playing to create impacting and lasting change for individuals and corporate clients.

Lesley is now working towards creating resources for actors, writers, visual media artists, and people from all walks of life to develop their potential and maintain their work and careers.
