Renée Brack Guest Speaker: Renée Brack
An established print and television journalist, Renée is a familiar face on the MOVIE NETWORK Channels. At Choc Tops she will give a mass media perspective on our film and television production industries.
She has also forayed onto the silver screen, playing herself in Andrew Dominik’s acclaimed film Chopper. (Her infamous 1992 interview with the real Mark “Chopper” Read on TEN Network’s sensational “Hard Copy” show had become worthy of retelling in fiction.)
Before stepping in front of the camera, Renée had written numerous articles for magazines covering the arts and entertainment.
Renée is well acquainted with the pantheon of Hollywood, having interviewed the likes of Keanu Reeves, Matt Damon, Renée Zellweger, Morgan Freeman, Heather Graham, Will Smith, Orlando Bloom, and Quentin Tarantino.
On the MOVIE EXTRA pay TV channel Renée is currently presenting her film review show “Movie Juice”. During the show she takes “a fresh look at what’s on screens and behind the scenes in the world of movies”. She uses her blog (see link below) to keep fans in the know between episodes.
Renée is about to start post production on a documentary, having just returned from shooting in the isolated Palmer River historical goldfields of Far North Queensland. She spent most of April in the area, away from all the normal conveniences. Her parting words when embarking on the month-long shoot were, “People ask me if I’m scared of snakes. I’m not. But they should be scared of me.”
